Disclaimer
MunchieCooking publishes recipes, fixes and ingredient guides as general information. Please read this before relying on anything here, particularly around allergens and no-cook recipes.
Not Medical or Nutritional Advice
None of this is medical, nutritional, dietary or therapeutic advice. Describing what an ingredient does in a dish is culinary background, not a health claim. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are managing diabetes, blood pressure or a diagnosed allergy, or take medication affected by food, speak to a qualified professional who knows your history before changing how you eat.
Nutrition Numbers Are Estimates
Where we give calories, protein or other values, they are calculated from standard reference data for the listed ingredients at the stated yield, not measured in a laboratory. Brand, ripeness, trimming, absorbed fat and how you actually divide the batch will all shift them. Words like high-protein describe the number we printed, nothing more, and nothing on this site is designed for clinical use.
Allergens and Substitutions
Our ingredient lists say what we used. They are not a complete allergen declaration and cannot account for how a product was made. Manufacturers reformulate without notice, and cross-contact happens in factories, in shops and on your own counter.
The gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and egg-free swaps we suggest are culinary suggestions, not allergy guidance. A recipe built with those swaps is only as safe as the specific products you buy. Check every label, every time, and if you are cooking for someone with a diagnosed allergy, that verification is yours to do.
Food Safety
- No-bake and raw doughs. Raw flour and raw egg both carry real risk and neither is made safe by refrigeration. Use heat-treated flour and pasteurized egg products in anything that will not be cooked through.
- Snacks and desserts holding dairy or eggs. Refrigerate promptly and respect the storage windows we give. Cream fillings and custards are not shelf-stable.
- Meat, poultry, fish and eggs. Cook to the internal temperatures published by the food safety authority where you live, and check with a probe thermometer rather than by appearance.
- Heat and appliances. Hot oil, boiling sugar, blenders and air fryers cause serious injuries. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and never bypass a safety feature.
- Children in the kitchen. Recipes described as kid-friendly still need an adult present for anything involving heat, blades or electrical appliances.
Your Kitchen Is Not Our Kitchen
We test in one place and you cook in another. Ovens run hot or cold, pans conduct differently, and flour, butter and produce vary by country and season. Treat our times as ranges and work from the sensory cues in the text.
